Message from the President of our Board of Directors

SPECIAL THANKS!

Nishna Productions, Inc. recently received a $5,000 grant award from the E.F. and Sylvia Schildberg  Foundation.  This outstanding contribution will be used towards the development of the commercial laundry business at the new NPI Vocational Training Center.

The Schildberg Foundation has dedicated themselves to assist in funding many phases of the Nishna Productions, Inc. Vocational Training Center Project.  The agency is very appreciative of their deep commitment to supporting the project and to being of service to people with disabilities and the citizens of Southwest Iowa.

HATS OFF TO SOUTHWEST IOWA’S COMMUNITY FOUNDATIONS!

Every spring and fall, Nishna Productions, Inc., writes grants to the four local Southwest Iowa community foundations which are in our service area.  The community foundation grants allow NPI to do things the agency cannot always find other fiscal resources to do.

This spring Nishna Productions, Inc. was a grateful recipient of grant awards from the following community foundations:

  • Page County Community Foundation - $2,446 (Appliances for the Lowell Apartments)

  • Montgomery County Community Foundation - $1,000 (Dryer for a group home and awnings for the new Vocational Training Center)

  • Mills County Community Foundation - $2,026 (Funding to purchase a SmartBoard for technological training for people with disabilities)

Thank you so much for your support!

Testimonials:

"Al and I want to make a contribution to Nishna Productions and so we are sending a check for $500 hoping it can help in some way for Nishna Productions to continue their success for each client they serve.  We are so grateful for all the support you have given our daughter over the years.  We will let you choose where the money will be used to its best effectiveness.  We do say thank you for all that the staff do for Angie.  She has become the young lady we had hoped for.  We are so proud of her and what she has accomplished.  We know her pathway hasn't always been easy for her, but she has finally become happy and quite independent.  This has allowed her to live on her own, maintain a job and take classes as well as manage a social life.  When we have customers from Red Oak we will mention our daughter lives in Red Oak and we will then talk about she works at Pizza Ranch and to our amazement a lot of people know her.  Good for her, just knowing she is happy makes us happy.  Again thanks for everything everyone has done for Angie, we are so grateful."
