Community Employment

Community Employment is a program that provides job placement and training skills to individuals who are seeking employment.  Employment Resources assists individuals in obtaining employment in their chosen career field.  Staff assesses each individual’s skills and assists them to learn the skills necessary for the job.  Job coaching can continue until both, the employee and the employer, are satisfied with the employee’s performance.  Follow-along services can be accessed to maintain or improve performance and insure success.

Community-Based Vocational Assessment

Community-Based Vocational Assessment evaluates the interests and support needs of people interested in community employment.  The assessment is done on actual jobs in the community.  The customer selects what jobs in the community he/she would like to know more about.  Employment Resources staff then arrange these opportunities for the individual.  Staff evaluates the individual and makes recommendations for employment as well as support and training needs that are necessary.  On-Site assessments, involving the individual actually doing work, include wages paid to the individual.
