GREAT
DONATION OPPORTUNITY!
Nishna Productions,
Inc. is currently involved in an extremely worthwhile project called “The Nishna
Productions, Inc. Vocational Training Center Project.” The project involves the
construction of a new facility in Red Oak. The purpose of the project is
threefold: (1)The new building will offer a work area large enough to
efficiently accommodate all current and future business work contracts and the
Red Oak Public Redemption Center; (2) It will provide a new dimension of
vocational opportunities to people with disabilities with the implementation of
a commercial laundry operation; and (3) It will allow the current facility at
207 South 3rd Street to be used to enhance adult day care services to
individuals with disabilities in less-crowded conditions through expansion into
the areas previously occupied by the vocational area.
The project is estimated to cost $1,402,000.
Nishna Productions, Inc. has already been awarded a Community Development Block
Grant in the amount of $600,000 in March of 2009 for this project. The agency
has also been approved for a $426,000 loan and a $99,500 grant from the USDA
Rural Facilities Development Program. Donations in the amount of $125,000 have
also been made through grants and private donations. However, an additional
$151,500 is needed to complete the funding for the project.
This is an excellent opportunity for anyone to make a
charitable contribution to an extremely worthwhile project.
Campaign History
At Nishna Productions, Inc., every day is about making a
positive difference in the lives of people with disabilities. In 2005, funding
was needed to support some special projects that would greatly enhance the lives
of people with disabilities. However, with the rising costs of goods and
services, Nishna Productions, Inc., was financially unable to complete some of
those necessary projects. Thus, the agency targeted certain special projects
that needed funding and developed a fundraising campaign titled “Builders of
Lives.”
